Consider purchasing a Christmas Card book from a store like Hallmark.  This book allows you to record, and keep track of, who you sent and received cards from each year.  Store bought books also record the recipient’s addresses, and cost as little as three dollars.  You can also create your own spreadsheet.  This will make christmas cards a breeze the following year, and help you decide who you want to continue to send cards to.

Holiday Cards November 29, 2008

This can be the year that you actually ENJOY the holidays.  However, it requires a little work and planning and both of those start now.

Today’s tip:

Start addressing your Christmas cards (if you haven’t already).  Place all necessary materials (address labels, stickers, pens, stamps, envelopes and cards) in a basket or small plastic container.  Put it in your car and address cards while you are waiting at sports practice or for school pick up.  Or put the container by your favorite chair in the living room so you can address cards while you watch TV.  Doing a few at a time will make the process manageable.  Don’t feel as though you have to mail them at all once either!

Also, get your family’s help with sticking on address labels, stamps or stickers or just stuffing the envelopes!
